How has ISM benefitted Drashti Shah?
"It has really prepared me for the networking and interviewing experiences."
What was a challenge they faced and overcame?
"Definitely the interviewing process. Cold calling is always difficult especially when you have a bad experience, but the thing that helped me the most is to practice and talk to Mr. Pirtle about anything and everything - he's always there to help. Also, don't give up as it's a learning curve and you're not in it alone."
Advice
"I think the most important thing about ISM is to see the growth and benefits as you have to put in the work and dedication. ISM really defines the concept of you get back what you put in. So do those assignments, call your 30 people, ask for help - this is probably the most relevant class you'll take in high school, so don't slack off. In terms of the topic of study, remember to explore - you aren't supposed to know exactly what you want to do, so be open-minded when choosing a topic (you can always change it)."
