How has ISM benefitted Mahim Nalluri?
"ISM, and especially Mr. Pirtle, helped me grow in terms of my mindset and personal values. Simply being around a group of like-minded, forward-looking individuals is intrinsically beneficial in helping anyone in terms of personal development. After this foundation of personal development was set, I found myself naturally growing professionally due to my own curiosity and resolve."
What was a challenge they faced and overcame?
"I went through a few personal struggles during my second year in ISM, and what I learned amidst it all was that sometimes life is going to throw several curveballs at you without giving you a break. I'll mess up. It's because I'm human. I learned to view many of the obstacles I faced as opportunities to grow, in some way or another."
Advice
"The lack of too many creative constraints gives you a grand opportunity to explore and learn for your own enrichment as a person and professional. Use the days wisely, and make sure that you don't have any 'zero' days. Try to make a little progress, baby steps even, towards your goals or final product every single day. This will do two things for you. Firstly, it's a system that will ensure your growth past the threshold of 'good' to 'great'. One consistent hour each day is far greater than five or six hours each weekend. Secondly, it'll naturally work in your favor and help you meet all of the deadlines that may be on your radar in ISM. In addition, you'll develop an ironclad sense of discipline, which might be one of the most valuable traits in the world, today."
