How has ISM benefitted Emma Bittner?

"ISM has helped me gain confidence and become much better at public speaking. Additionally, having a mentorship in high school set me apart from my peers in college and has given me a leg up when applying for internships."

What was a challenge they faced and overcame?

"Being able to manage 100 things at once was really difficult and before ISM I was pretty bad with time management. However, ISM helped me balance school, work, and an internship."

Advice

"I would recommend people to go into a topic if they are unsure about because having that hands-on experience in high school can help you decide if you truly are passionate about it before college. Also, if you’re not going to be dedicated to ISM and creating a final project, then you won’t get the full experience out of it."
